Whale Girl Desktop Pet (whalegirl-deskpet)

Whale Girl Desktop Pet is an open-source desktop companion project supporting the DSH, Claude Code, and WorkBuddy platforms. The character assets are AI-generated, and the idle animations are programmatically baked to avoid jitter. Core features include: serving a bowl while work is in progress and clearing the bowl when a turn ends; pressing Esc triggers an interruption reaction and a “trashy” expression; clicking enables interaction; and while an agent is running, a small dolphin swims past its feet. Installation methods differ by platform, and the portable version is about 200MB. Note Windows security prompts and renderer compatibility across different versions.
